At K9s For Heroes, we work to make a meaningful difference in the lives of veterans and their families by providing a trained companion dog. We believe that the bond between a veteran and a rescued dog can offer not just comfort and companionship, but also a renewed sense of purpose and hope. Through our comprehensive application process, we ensure that each veteran or eligible family member receives the perfect canine partner to enrich their lives.

How To Apply

Veterans and eligible family members interested in receiving a companion dog must submit the K9 Companion Application package, which includes:

Completed Application
Copy of DD-214
An interview (in person or by phone)

This process allows us to carefully assess each individual’s needs and find the perfect match to enrich their lives.
